Police: Car Recovered After Roosevelt Field Stabbing, Theft

GARDEN CITY, NY (CBSNewYork) – Police say a man was stabbed in the face outside the popular Houston’s restaurant at the Roosevelt Field mall.

WCBS 880’s Sophia Hall On The Story

It happened just after 10 p.m. Wednesday. Nassau County police tell WCBS 880 reporter Sophia Hall that when one young man walked into the restaurant to pick up his paycheck, he left his Mazda unlocked and running with his 21-year-old friend inside.

That’s when authorities say another man jumped in behind the wheel and began to drive off.

“The subject turned to the victim and states ‘Are you going to get out?’ and when the victim stated ‘No.’ The subject produced a black-handled kitchen knife and stabbed him in the face, head and left hand,” said Nassau County police officer Christopher Barling.

Barling said the victim rolled out of the car onto the pavement and the suspect drove away.

The victim was taken to the hospital with numerous stab wounds.

The suspect has since been caught and the car has been recovered.

Again with Bloomberg exporting the City’s crime to our suburbs. We need to sue him.

  • blahblahblah

how about some details…like where they found the car? where did they catch the suspect? Where is the suspect from? did the suspect know the victim? just anything to make this more like a news story, perhaps…

where did they find the car

Perp: “are you going to get out?”

    Victim: “no”

Reminds me of the scene in Ghostbusters when Gozer asks Ray “are you a god?”. Ray replies “no” and gets zapped. Ha ha.
