NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) – The New York City medical examiner has determined that the death of a 1-year-old Bronx boy was caused by blunt force injury to his torso.

Police and EMS responded to an apartment building on East 232nd Street around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and found the child, 1-year-old Richard Flood, unconscious and unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at Montefiore Hospital.

An autopsy found that the toddler had rib fractures and injuries to his internal organs.

So far, no arrests have been made.
