Trenton Mayor's Half-Brother Admits Official Misconduct

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) -- The half-brother of Trenton Mayor Tony Mack has pleaded guilty to two counts of official misconduct.

Stanley Davis, a supervisor with the city's water utility, faces a six-year prison term under his plea deal with Mercer County prosecutors. He also must pay restitution, will forfeit his job and can never again hold public employment.

The 51-year-old Davis entered his plea Friday, admitting that in 2010 he twice had Trenton Water Works crews perform side jobs at private homes in Trenton. The work was done with city equipment while the crews were being paid by the city.

Prosecutors say Davis and the workers also received emergency overtime pay.

Davis was suspended without pay following his arrest in December. He said Friday that his brother had nothing to do with the scheme.
