YONKERS, NY (CBSNewYork) – Investigators are calling a Yonkers apartment building fire suspicious.
The three-alarm fire broke out around 2:30 p.m. Monday at a building on Lincoln Place Monday afternoon. Flames tore through the building and smoke could be seen for miles. Officials said neighboring were evacuated as a precaution.
No serious injuries reported, but seven families were left homeless.
The American Red Cross is helping those displaced by the fire.
