NEW YORK (AP) — Students at a New York City middle school are facing discipline after an eighth grader reportedly sold marijuana-laced brownies to about 20 fellow pupils.

The incident happened at Intermediate School 208 in Bellerose, a suburban section of Queens.

The Daily News reports that a girl was selling the brownies for $3 each out of her backpack. Nobody got sick, but a student complained to a school official Monday.

Department of Education spokeswoman Margie Feinberg called the incident “troubling” and said children who knowingly ate the brownies will have to face a disciplinary hearing.

Police were brought in and discovered a small bag of marijuana in a school bathroom, but no one has been arrested.

“Department of Education spokeswoman Margie Feinberg called the incident “troubling” and said children who knowingly ate the brownies will have to face a disciplinary hearing.”

Now how in the world are you going to prove anyone ate the brownies? Are you going to order kids be subjected to “poo” tests?

Maybe you meant those that knowingly “bought” the brownies, and you have proof!

Leave it educators to be so ill informed about marijuana, the law and basic constitutional rights.
