1 Dead, 3 Injured In Glen Cove Crash
GLEN COVE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A 20-year-old driver was killed Thursday night after her car slammed into a concrete wall and flipped onto its side in Glen Cove, police said.
Police said Diana Pereyra, of New Cassel, was driving a 2005 Toyota Scion on Sea Cliff Avenue when the car left the roadway, hit the wall and a utility pole before coming to a rest on the driver's side around 11:25 p.m.
Pereyra was pronounced dead at the scene about 30 minutes after the accident.
Three passengers – two women, ages 18 and 19, and a 19-year-old man – were taken to a hospital.
Police said the male victim suffered brain injuries and is listed in critical condition. The women suffered non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
