Dwight Gooden is a good friend of the show and the guys are always happy to hear from him. Unfortunately, this morning Gooden joined Boomer & Craig under tragic circumstances as he reflected on his relationship with Gary Carter, after the Hall of Fame catcher's passing yesterday afternoon in West Palm, Florida.
Gooden described Carter as a 'true leader and true gentleman' - crediting him with a lot of his own success. We also an interesting story about an exchange between Gooden and Carter at the 1984 All-Star Game, before they became teammates on the Mets in 1985...
