FAIRFIELD, CT (CBSNewYork) - Living out her life in her own home in Fairfield, it’s unlikely Mary Kantorowski ever dreamed that at age 98, her own son would be trying to evict her.

She’s lived there since 1953.
However, Peter Kantorowski has maneuvered change of ownership of the house to his name, says Richard Bortolot, the attorney representing Mrs. Kantorwski.
“He wants her out the house so he can sell it, and… they executed the eviction lawsuit against her on December 13th of 2011, which happened to be her 98th birthday,” Bortolot told Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau.
Bortelot says Mrs. Kantorowski is now preparing to wage a legal fight to keep her home.
He says a judge has ruled Mrs. Kantorowski competent to handle her own affairs and a trial has been set for March 2 in Bridgeport.
