YAPHANK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) – Suffolk County Police have charged a man for possessing bronze vases stolen from Pinelawn Memorial Park in Famingdale.
Shaun Dosch of Babylon allegedly had 22 of the vases. They were all stolen from the cemetery in recent months.
Detectives believe Dosch intended to melt the vases down and sell them for scrap. Their estimated value is $7,000.
Dosch, 26, faces charges of Criminal Possession of Stolen Property along with other charges.
