B&C Morning Show: D'Antoni Disappointed, Avery Johnson Talks Playoffs

When Craig heard about people camping out for a chance to get their hands on the brand new foam, glow-in-the-dark Nike sneakers that are going for $220 and hit the stores this Friday, he decided that he wanted to get his feet in a pair.

That's easier said then done, especially when Uncle Boomer isn't willing to lend a hand.

Moving right along, Jerry Recco is a man who can appreciate a good pair of sneakers and also has become known as an update maven around the station, so he got right to it, beginning with the Knicks' 100-92 loss to the Nets, who were led by Deron Williams and his 38 points last night at the Garden.

We heard Nets radio play-by-play man Chris Carrino aptly describe Williams lightening-up the Garden and Williams himself admitted afterward that he had this game circled on his calender.

Carmelo Anthony made his return and credited the Nets defense for his 4-11, 6 TO performance.  Amar'e Stoudemire is confident they will find a way to right the wrongs, while Jeremy Lin described the team's effort collectively as not very good.

Mike D'Antoni was understandably disappointed with his team's effort, but the win had Nets coach Avery Johnson talking about the playoffs.

Plus, Mariano tells reporters that he has made a decision on his future, but would not reveal what it is, Mets starter Jon Niese got a nose job, AJ Burnett arrives in Pittsburgh and blames others for his troubles in New York, A's sign Manny Ramirez to a minor league contract, Senators beat the Islanders 6-0, Rangers in Pittsburgh tonight and the Devils skate in Toronto...
