NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police have released surveillance video of a rape suspect wanted for attacking a woman in northern Queens on Sunday.

Around 10:30 p.m., the man grabbed a 25-year-old woman from behind, pushed her to the ground and tried to rape her, police said.

The exact location of the attack was not released.

Police said the victim apparently screamed, scaring off the suspect who ran off on foot after snatching the woman’s purse.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6-feet-tall, weighing about 210 pounds.

Police said he has short black hair and was last seen wearing a gray jacket.
