3 Jersey City Bars Turn Down MTV Contracts For ‘Jersey Shore’ Spin-Off

JERSEY CITY, NJ (CBSNewYork) – Snooki has been cut-off at a number of Jersey City bars and she hasn’t even moved into town yet.

Owners of the bars Skinner’s Loft, LITM and Barcade are apparently banning Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “JWoww” Farley and the rest of the “Jersey Shore” gang.

The bar owners have reportedly rejected MTV contracts giving permission to use their establishments to film the show.

MTV was given the go ahead to shoot for six weeks in Jersey City at a two-story home that will be rented out by Snooki and JWoww.

Other bar owners however are more welcoming. One is offering “a night of a thousand Snooki’s.”

The “Jersey Shore” is now in its fifth season.

I think people need to read the story… the bars rejected the contract that MTV’s production company wanted them to sign… oh the side effect is no jersey shore in the bar – sounds like a win to me for the regular patrons of the bars

Amz Yo, this has nothing to do with “hatein”, it’s just that there are no “Drink until you puke in the parking lot type bars in that part of J.C.. If the SandBar was still open they would be welcomed with open arms but there were too many
sexual attacks,fights, stabbings and just plain jackings in their parking lot so they got shut down. Places like the Iron Monkey do a good business and really doesn’t need a bunch of Staten Island Knuckle heads to chase their regular customers away. Maybe some of the bars on Ocean Ave or MLK will welcome them If not I’m sure that they’d be a hit in the Greenville section.

What kind of story is this how many other shows get denied on a daily basis.Just face it they are not going away millions watch weekly if you do not like it do not watch.Most of us wish we can have their millions.

CERTAIN PARTS OF JERSEY ARE VERY LAID BACK RELAXED IN THEUR WAY OF LIVING. WE NEED TO KEEP IN MIND, NOT EVERYONE IS THAT GREEDY FOR MONEY EVEN IN HARSH TIMES AS WE ARE LIVING NOW ! THESE PEOPLE DO NOT WANT TO LOSE THEIR SELF RESPECT ! THESE ARE PLACES YOU WANT TO START A FAMILY IN !
