Police Hunt Irving Place Sex Assault Suspect

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Police are looking for a man who lifted up a woman's skirt and grabbed her buttocks in Irving Place.

The alleged groping incident took place on Jan. 6 in the middle of the day.

Police say a 30-year-old woman walked into a building near Irving Place and East 18th Street at 11:35 a.m. and was followed inside by a man who was 25-30.

As the woman was waiting for the elevator, police say the man lifted her skirt, touched her buttocks, and ran off.

The whole thing was caught on surveillance video.
