As Mets fans, Gary Carter is forever part of our collective memory and celebration of the game! Gary was so much more than a phenomenal baseball player to us. He was the heart of the team! Without him, there would have been no Amazin’ Mets in ’86, nor would one witness the devotion, dedication, and craziness of the fans. He is a true Hero-love of not just the game, but family, friends, and fans! All we can say is THANK YOU for the tremendous gift!

Yes, I will definitely be watching. I’m sad it’s not being televised by Fox Sports or ESPN. Thank you for streaming online for those who do not live in New York. Blessings to you. I was a sold-out Mets fan of the 80’s and really enjoyed the entire team and especially Gary. So sad that he is no longer with us, I do know he is in a better place now. Praying for his loved ones.

  26. Bobby says:

Wow, thank God the Memorial doesn’t conflict with Craig Carton’s Spike TV show, which I slept through last night.

    1. flea says:

Craig Carton is the worst thing to happen at The Fan since Scott Ferrall. Equally annoying.

  27. NotAMetFan says:

The Mets should have retired #8 while he was alive. Do the right thing.

    1. Big L says:

Absolutely! They should have retired it long ago. Classless,
