ELMSFORD, N.Y. (1010 WINS) — Police in Westchester County are looking for a suspect wanted in two holdups at gas station convenience stores.

Authorities said the suspect robbed a Sunoco station on Marble Avenue in Mount Pleasant around 3 a.m. on March 1. At 3:30 a.m., authorities say the same suspect struck again and robbed a Gulf station on West Main Street in Elmsford.

Police said that in the Elmsford robbery, the suspect initially entered the store to pay for gas and a pack of gum unmasked. He returned a short time later wearing a different sweatshirt and a ski mask, authorities said.

The suspect is said have fled both robberies in a red Jeep Liberty with gold New York license plates and a spare tire mounted on the rear of the vehicle.

“The Village of Elmsford reported a robbery of a convenient store and a gas station in their jurisdiction — very similar description of the suspect and vehicle. They got a better look at the vehicle,” Mount Pleasant Chief of Police Louis Alagno said.

Westchester County police have released video footage and photographs of the suspect.

The public may call the county police tip line (800)-898-TIPS (8477). All calls are confidential. The county police also accept tips and information by email and text at tips@wccops.com.
