NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Rachel Green may have loved New York City life, but the actress who portrayed her? Not so much.
Jennifer Aniston may have spent her formative years in New York — prior to her Friends days, she graduated from Manhattan’s Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts — but she recently made it very clear that she has no interest in calling New York home again.
On an appearance the Australian radio show “Kyle and Jackie O,” last Friday, the Wanderlust star explained that she just doesn’t feel at home in the city.
She and boyfriend Justin Theroux recently ditched city life for Los Angeles.
In the radio interview, she blamed the easy access paparazzi had to her in the Big Apple.
“We tried New York, but it was a little bit rough with the paparazzi and stuff,” Aniston said. “It sort of didn’t feel like the New York that I grew up in and knew. It felt like I was in a fishbowl and way too — a little too vulnerable…I just felt mortified for my neighbors.”
Last month, the southern-California born Aniston received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
