NYPD: Cross Dresser, Second Suspect Sought For Bronx Attempted Robbery

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is looking for two suspects who they say tried to rob a pharmacy in the Bronx.

Police say two men, one dressed as a woman, walked into a pharmacy on Saint Pauls Place just before 9 a.m. Wednesday.

That's when cops say the man dressed as a woman pulled out a gun, forced an employee to the back of the store and demanded medication.

The suspect then hit the employee on the head with the gun after some sort of struggle and the two suspects took off empty-handed.

The whole incident was caught on surveillance video.

Police say the suspect dressed as a woman was wearing a long dark wig, sunglasses, a red skirt, brown suede jacket, white sneakers, a white hat and black gloves.

His hat and glasses fell off as he was leaving the store and outside on the street, cameras caught him walking down the block without his wig.

The second suspect was wearing a dark baseball hat, sunglasses, a dark jacket, dark pants, white sneakers and orange or tan work gloves.

Anyone with information about who these two might be should call police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
