JR Smith got himself into some trouble over the weekend after he ‘tweeted’ a picture of a woman’s, large, scantily clad backside, which was apparently blocking his view of the television. Boomer never imagined that he would be talking about this subject this morning when he awoke, but lo and behold, just prior to Jerry Recco’s first update he was and judging by the laughter bellowing from the Allstate Studio, it sure sounded like he was having a good time doing so.
The laughter soon died down as Jerry began his update with a recap from the Knicks debacle at the Garden yesterday, that saw them drop to 18-23 after a 106-94 loss to the 76ers. We heard from a bewildered Mike D’Antoni and his two ‘super-stars’ – Carmelo Anthony & Amar’e Stoudemire. The Knicks will be in Chicago tonight, while the Nets be be home for the Bucks.
The Rangers got themselves a 4-3 overtime win over the Islanders, thanks to a Marion Gaborik game-winner in the final seconds. Brad Richards added two power-play goals and likes the progress being made by the Blue Shirts. The Devils beat the Flyers 4-1 and also tied Philadelphia for 5th place in the east.
Plus, the Jets signed Mark Sanchez to a 3-year extension on Friday, Peyton Manning continues to search for a new placer to play football, Johan Santana looked good in his spring start, David Wright is heading back to New York to see team doctors about his rib injury, the Yankees get 3 scoreless innings out of their ‘hefty-lefty’ CC Sabathia and another scoreless inning from Marino Rivera in his spring debut. Justing Rose wins the Cadillac Championship over Bubba Watson meanwhile Tiger Woods pulled-out with an Achilles injury…
