NYPD: Queens Man Found Dead From Self-Inflicted Wound After Standoff With Police
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A wild scene in Queens left neighbors terrified Sunday night.
The NYPD said a man barricaded himself inside his home on 68th Street near 70th Avenue in Glendale around 7 p.m. and fired shots at police through a door. Officers did not return fire.
When officers moved in about three hours later, police said they found the 34-year-old man dead in the bathroom from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The identity of the gunman has not been released.
No other injuries were reported.
