NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A wild scene in Queens left neighbors terrified Sunday night.

The NYPD said a man barricaded himself inside his home on 68th Street near 70th Avenue in Glendale around 7 p.m. and fired shots at police through a door. Officers did not return fire.

The identity of the gunman has not been released.

No other injuries were reported.

Interesting that these police officers never fired a shot at a person who was scooting at them, but fire shots at folk who have not guns!
Florida, officer shot and killed a teenager on his way to the store, no gun, and the officer was told NOT to interfer with the young male BEFORE the encounter….
