City Council Speaker Christine Quinn To Marry Longtime Partner

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - City Council Speaker Christine Quinn will marry her longtime partner in May.

Quinn's office confirmed that the speaker will marry Kim Catullo on May 19.

Quinn, 45, is considered a top contender for mayor in the 2013 election. If elected, she would be New York's first gay mayor.

No other details of the wedding were made available, though her office said it would be a private ceremony.
