NYPD: Suspects Wanted For Robbery, Impersonating An Officer

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD needs help trying to identify two suspects who they say are wanted for robbery and impersonating an officer.

Police say around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 4, the victim, a 41-year-old man, got into some sort of verbal fight with two other men on the platform of the Brooklyn bound J train at the Delancy Street station.

When the victim threatened to call 911, police said one the suspects took out a star shaped badge and said he was cop while the second suspect said he was an immigration officer.

As the victim tried to leave the subway, police said one of the suspects assaulted him, took his wallet and the two fled.

Police say the two suspects were seen on surveillance video leaving the station.

Anyone with information should call police or Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
