Camden Shooting Leaves 2 Dead, 1 Wounded

CAMDEN, N.J. (AP) -- Authorities say shootings at a southern New Jersey home have left two Camden men dead and another hospitalized with serious injuries.

Camden County Prosecutor Warren Faulk says the bodies of 32-year-old Louis Antonio Narvaez-Betancourt and 22-year-old Jose Ariel Paynes Garcia were found inside Narvaez-Betancourt's home around 11:20 p.m. Saturday. A 28-year-old man who also lived in the home was hurt, but authorities would not say whether he also had been shot.

Further details on the shootings, including a possible motive, were not disclosed Sunday.

The shootings were part of a violent weekend in Camden.

Earlier Saturday night, 31-year-old Bruce Matthews of Camden was found stabbed to death on a city street. Faulk said Matthews had been stabbed "multiple times," and a motive remains under investigation.
