New Jersey Pastor Praying For Tim Tebow

WEST ORANGE, NJ (CBSNewYork) – A lot of people will literally be praying for the newest member of the New York Jets.

WCBS 880’s Levon Putney On The Story

It is well-known that Tim Tebow is a proud Christian. Well, now he’s here to play in the New York City market.

“I’m concerned that the fans are hospitable,” said Pastor Terry Smith, head of the Life Christian Church in West Orange, where he says ex-reciever Jerricho Cotchery is just one of the former Jets in his congregation. “But he’s not as vocal about it as Tim Tebow is. I like both styles.”

Smith in confident that Tebow will find a way to fit in here, even with the NYC spotlight.

“Who we are does not change. It doesn’t what the geography is,” he said.

Since Tebow’s geographical location has changed, he may need a new church to attend, and Smith has extended an invitation.

“I’ve already Tweeted to him,” he said.

How do you feel about Tebow’s open faith? Sound off in the comments section below!

He doesn’t have to pray for Tebow, Tebow does enough praying himself. I understand he’s now praying that Sanchez gets injured in the season opener………

Hope he gets outed as the bigoted fundamentalist that he is! Anti-gay, anti-abortion! I want to see how that flys in NY. This is not the bible belt thankfully! Leave it up to this guy and the people of his ilk and we will be back to the middle ages and the Inquisition in no time! Great job Jets, you officially set your franchise back a couple of hundred years! Sanchez, Rex and Mike T’s job is officially on the clock! Enjoy the money he brings in Woody because that’s all you will get. Maybe that was the whole point all along and the joke is on the Jets fan! Oh and btw he’s a fullback pretending to play QB (i.e. Pats – Broncos playoff game)!

I can tell you love Satan.

It was another day of listening to the hosts ramble on about this kids play only 1 host even attempted to give him his due.

Its not about if he is Montana … nobody is suggesting that. BUT HE CAN THROW & HE DOES WIN ! If your not going to acknowledge that & the FACT that he has not been given a fair chance to be a QB in this league YOUR off your rocker. By the way i’m a Bronco fan & never followed the gators but I saw what happened in Denver. Its funny how people talk about miracles when it fits their argument any other time its like just win lol … The radio hosts are starting to sound like a joke. Say what you want but seriously watch some film ! I just can’t .. its stupid @ this point.

I think that every christian should be proud of Tim Tebow’s faith. In a time where evil prevails, God is looking for people that are strong enough to bare his name and put the cross as high as every human being can see it and find salvation. In Mark 8:38 Jesus said, “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his father’s glory with the holy angels. Tebow sets up a good example for us all.
God bless you brother! Keep on doing the good thing!

He wasn’t picked up by the Jets to preach, he was picked to play & win games. If he wants to preach, then he should become a pastor on TV and bilk the ignorant like they all do!
