Police: Man Hit, Killed By MTA City Bus In Flatiron District
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police say a 21-year-old man was hit and killed by a city bus late Thursday night in the Flatiron District.
It happened around 11:45 p.m. at East 23rd Street between Broadway and Madison Avenue. Police say Amos Veloz, 21, was struck by an MTA bus while he was trying to cross East 23rd Street.
Veloz was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
Police say no criminality is suspected.
