Rutgers Will Open 2012 Football Season At Tulane

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP)Kyle Flood’s first game as Rutgers’ coach will be on the road against Tulane on Sept. 1.

The Big East Conference school announced its 2012 schedule on Tuesday. It features six games at High Point Solutions Stadium, including a nationally televised primetime Thursday night contest against Louisville on Nov. 29.

The Scarlet Knights’ home opener will be against Howard on Sept. 8. The other home games will be against Connecticut (Oct. 6), Syracuse (Oct. 13), Kent State (Oct. 27) and Army (Nov. 10). Homecoming will be the Kent State game.

The other road contests are at South Florida (Sept. 15), Arkansas (Sept. 22), Temple (Oct. 20), Cincinnati (Nov. 17) and Pittsburgh (Nov. 24).

The date of the South Florida game is subject to change.
