NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Steve Somers did something Tuesday night that he hasn't done in years.

That's right, he acknowledged the existence of the Islanders.
But any old win wouldn't have been enough. The Ice-landers held on to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins, giving the Rangers some much-needed breathing room in the East.
