Fresh off the Knicks 22-point thrashing of the Orlando Magic, in which he scored 16 points off the bench, ‘The Dentist’ Steve Novak called into the Show today to talks a little basketball with Boomer & Craig.

After saying hello, Craig asked Novak if he likes the nickname ‘The Dentist’ and he apparently does not, preferring rather to be called ‘Nova-caine’.  Moving right along, Craig offered a sincere apology to Novak for doubting his ability to contribute on a regular basis, which he has done since becoming a mainstay in the Knicks rotation.  Boomer, who has been high on Novak since day one, was quick to point out that Craig is not the only one to doubt Novak.

Novak also talked about the departure of Mike D’Antoni and the differences between D’Anotni and interim head coach Mike Woodson, Amar’e Stoudemire & Jeremy Lin’s health (Lin may be more banged-up than originally thought, according to Novak), his ‘discount double check’ celebration, Woodson sounding a lot like Tone Loc and of course, the large backside of his teammate JR Smith’s lady friend…
