NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A woman in Brooklyn is recovering from a gunshot wound after a police bullet tore through the ceiling and struck her in the shoulder.
Police were executing a search warrant on the third floor of an apartment building in the Farragut section at around 6 a.m.

While recovering drugs and taking two suspects into custody, an officer’s gun went off, hitting the floor.
A 25-year-old woman in the apartment below was struck. She was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition.
The incident is under investigation.
