Train Takes Part In Marriage Proposal At Small Midtown Concert Wednesday
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- For one lucky Train fan, 'Marry Me' is now more than the name of the band's chart-topping song.
The rock group gave some New York City fans an intimate show at the Hard Rock Cafe Wednesday night, performing four songs in front of a couple of hundred of attendees.
But one concert-goer got more than just the fan experience of a lifetime. She got asked the question many women consider the event of their lifetime: Will you marry me?
The concert was hosted by Fresh 102.7 as part of their ongoing 'Up Close & Personal' concert series. Neither the radio station nor the band had any idea the proposal was in the works.
It's not the first proposal Train has been a part of.
"We've had proposals in really large places and really small places," the band's singer, Pat Monahan, told 102.7. "And then we've done some where a guy will ask a girl and you can see on her face 'it's only yes for tonight!"
