ASPCA Mega Match-A-Thon Helps New Yorkers Find The Purrfect Pet

NEW YORK (1010WINS) -- Looking to meet your purrfect match? Then head to Manhattan's Upper West Side this weekend for the ASPCA Mega Match-A-Thon presented in conjunction with the Mayor's Alliance for New York City's Animals.

Adoptable dogs and cats will be available from several local rescue organizations including the ASPCA, Animal Care & Control of NYC (AC&C), Animal Haven, Picasso Veterinary Fund of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals and Sean Casey Animal Rescue.   Pet parents will receive a free collar and ID tag for every animal adopted, plus there will be free product giveaways, pet food sampling and more.

"This event is the New York City version of what's going on all over the country", says Mayor's Alliance President Jane Hoffman.  "It will be a big festival around getting these wonderful shelter and rescue dogs and cats new homes."

The Mega Match-A-Thon runs both Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Just look for the mobile adoption units at West 67th Street and Broadway.
