NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – One of these days someone is going to make a video game about dodging delivery guys in New York City.
I may be car-less, but that doesn’t mean I’m without fear of accidentally running into a delivery bike going downhill–those suckers come out of nowhere.
Tracy Morgan agrees. Lucky for him, his Jaguar took the brunt of a collision bike vs. luxury car collision that happened Monday night on the Upper East Side. Morgan had been sitting in his car, waiting for his personal trainer, and just at the moment he opened his door, a bike rode right into it.
Morgan swears he didn’t see the man, saying he was wearing all black and telling The New York Post, “If you want to write a story about something, write a story about how these guys should wear lights or reflectors or something.”
The food in transit may have gotten cold, but the deliverer attacked by Morgan’s door was okay after the accident. He was taken to a nearby hospital for x-rays to make sure, but sustained no significant injuries.
While Tracy suffered the minor inconvenience of not being able to close his door post accident (thereby taking up some serious city-street driving real estate), he seems to be taking the incident in stride.
“This kind of stuff happens all the time in the city. I grew up in the city. I’ve been dealing with this stuff for years. Brooklyn-born and -raised, Bed-Stuy do or die.”
Something tells me the Bed-Stuy of Tracy’s youth had a few less Jaguar related accidents.
