Boy Visiting NY With Parents Fights For Life In Brooklyn Hospital

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A deaf boy who was hit by a driver in front of his parents in Brooklyn is clinging to life.

Timothy Keith was on his way to visit the Brooklyn Bridge when he sprinted between two parked cars and into traffic on Hicks Street in Cobble Hill.

Keith was hit by a taxi, the driver remained at the scene and has not been charged. Keith was taken to Long Island College Hospital, and then transferred to University Hospital of Brooklyn-SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

Keith and his parents Eva and Joseph were visiting New York from Washington DC.
