NEW YORK (WFAN) — Jets fans, get ready for another year of “Mayhem.”

Outside linebacker Aaron Maybin announced his new deal with New York on Monday via Twitter.

“Just inked the new contract….blessed 2 have this opportunity,” Maybin tweeted. “Time 2 go to work.”

Maybin, a former first-round pick of the Buffalo Bills, was tendered at the original-round level by New York this offseason. It all equals one year at $1.26 million for the restricted free agent.

Maybin was nicknamed “Maybe” in Buffalo for his draft-bust status. The Jets took a chance on Maybin last August, waived him before the start of the season and then re-signed him in late September.

His game received a jolt in 2011 — and so did the team’s pass rush — when he led the Jets with six sacks.

Jets fans, are you pumped for the return of Maybin? Sound off below!
