3 Injured When Cabs, 18-Wheeler Collide In Early Morning East Side Wreck

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Three people were injured in a wreck in the middle of Manhattan early Tuesday morning.

An 18-wheeler collided with two taxi cabs around 2 a.m. on the East Side near the corner of Lexington Avenue and 48th Street.

At least two people who had been riding in the cabs were trapped inside and the roof of one of the vehicles had to be removed by rescuers.

Three people were hospitalized.
