Man Arrested After Allegedly Exposing Himself To Woman On PATH Train
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — A Jersey City man was arrested Friday after allegedly exposing himself to a woman on a PATH train.
The incident occurred Friday morning as the train was approaching Newport station.
Port Authority police said a woman told them Azeez Powell was standing in front of her while she was seated.
The woman says just as the train pulled into the station, Powell exposed himself, then ran out of the train.
The woman ran after him and found Port Authority police officer Joseph Fisher, who found Powell in a stairwell.
The 31-year-old Powell has been charged with lewdness and also with failing to appear to face two previous similar charges.
He was awaiting transfer to the Hudson County Jail and it wasn’t clear if he’d retained an attorney.
