Man Proposes To Girlfriend On Megabus At Port Authority

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Call it a match made in Megabus heaven.

Nina Lazerow thought it was just another bus ride, but her boyfriend, Avi Muller, had other plans Friday.

When Lazerow boarded the Megabus at the Port Authority, she had no idea what her boyfriend was up to. With family and friends on board, Muller dropped to one knee and popped the question.

Thankfully, Lazerow said yes or it could have been an awkward trip.

Muller decided to propose on the Megabus because he said the couple has spent the past few years riding back and forth between his home, New York, and her home in Baltimore as part of their long distance relationship.

The bride-to-be said her guy did a good job keeping his plan a secret.

"He set me up because I found like plans for something. My birthday's on Monday, I thought he was going throw a surprise party or something. I honestly had no clue," Lazerow said.
