Well, look no FURther. If your pooch is gnawing at the bone to get out and make friends, a new social networking site, MatchPuppy, has him or her covered.

Available to New Yorkers, the site aims to match dogs of like age, size and energy levels.  Similar to dating sites for humans, MatchPuppy profiles each dog and lists a photo, favorite parks and interests.

"This is a need in the market," co-founder Michael Chiang told Mashable. "A lot of people who have small dogs would rather they have small dogs to play with. It can be used for puppy play date or it can be for breeding."

The site lists dog parks throughout the five boroughs and ranks them by the number of dogs that "like" a particular park.

Only in New Yorkie, eh? Well, for the moment. MatchPuppy hopes to expand to other big cities like Los Angeles, Boston and Miami, Chaing said.
