FORT LEE, N.J. (CBSNewYork) – Two Bronx men have been arrested after a New Jersey state trooper found $783,000 in their vehicle during a traffic stop, police said.

Trooper Stephen Spitaleri pulled over a Ford Expedition on April 19 after it was seen driving erratically on Interstate 95.

While inspecting the vehicle, Spitaleri found the money inside a box hidden in a hydraulically-operated compartment inside the truck, police said.

Franklin Delacruz and Jose Tremillo-Carnillo, both 45-years-old, have been charged with money laundering and conspiracy. They are being held in Bergen County Jail on $500,000 bail.
