Police Seek Suspects Wanted For 2 Armed Robberies In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down a pair of suspects wanted in connection with two armed robberies in Queens.

The suspects walked into a barber shop on Brewer Boulevard in Jamaica around 5:10 p.m. on April 21 and robbed the business after one of the suspects displayed a firearm, police said.

The suspects took cash from the shop as well as five patrons before fleeing, police said.

About 40 minutes later, the suspects took cash from a 39-year-old man's pocket at gunpoint inside a Check Cashing business on Merrick Boulevard before fleeing north onto Linden Boulevard, police said.

Both suspects are believed to be between 20- and 25-years-old and between 5'5" and 5'10" tall.

One of the suspects was last seen wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, light pants and black and white sneakers, police said. The second suspect was wearing a black zippered sweatshirt, dark pants, a dark baseball hat with a green visor, and black sneakers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
