Timmy The Dog Gets Wheelchair And Now Needs To Be Adopted

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Timmy is ready to roll.

Sean Casey of Animal Rescue in Brooklyn stopped by the CBS 2 studios this morning to discuss Timmy.

"Timmy came in actually as a stray," Casey explained. "He was paralyzed from the time we got him."

However shelter volunteer Sophia Annunziata and her mother raised money to get Timmy his wheelchair.

"He's now ready to go home. He's in great shape, he's obviously very used to his chair," Casey said. Casey said the wheelchairs are getting more and more common for disabled dogs, and said Timmy "took to it immediately."
