NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — There’s no place like home.
Barbra Streisand has signed up to perform in her hometown at the new Barclays Center on Oct. 11.
The 10-time Grammy award winning artist was raised in Flatbush and graduated from Erasmus Hall High School.
This will be her first time performing in her native borough.
“Barbra is Brooklyn and there’s nowhere more fitting for her to perform,” said Barclays Center majority owner and developer Bruce Ratner. “This will be a night to remember.”
Brooklyn Nets all-access ticket holders will have the opportunity to buy tickets before the general public.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. May 21.
Barclays Center CEO Brett Yormark said in upcoming weeks they will announce more artists set to perform at the venue.
