Ferrari Slams Motorcyclist In MetLife Stadium Parking Lot, Killing Biker

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) - Daring driving can turn deadly, and there was proof of that on Sunday morning when a luxury sports car hit a motorcyclist in the MetLife Stadium parking lot.

State police are looking into exactly what two Ferrari drivers were doing -- and how fast they were going -- when the cherry red one crossed the center line near Parking Lot J and hit a motorcycle head on, killing the biker.

Pieces of twisted metal -- big and small -- are scattered across the road and the lot, WCBS 880's Alex Silverman reported. The bright red Ferrari is missing a chunk of its front end, its windshield is shattered and its hood is twisted.

The two sports car drivers were employees of Gotham Dream Cars, a company that rents out high-end cars. A spokesman said that the company took out the cars to fuel them up before an event at the Meadowlands, which is scheduled for today.

The smashed sports car's driver walked away with a hand injury, and now police are investigating whether the two cars were racing, and how exactly this wreck happened.

Do you think that Gotham Dream Cars should be held accountable for this incident? Sound off with your thoughts and comments below...
