Jets' Darrelle Revis, David Harris Say Rex Ryan Has Been Actively Involved In Defensive Meetings

NEW YORK (WFAN) - Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis and inside linebacker David Harris said that head coach Rex Ryan has been increasingly more involved in defensive meetings this offseason, the New York Post reported.

Revis and Harris were appearing at Harris' charity golf tournament on Sunday when they informed reporters that Ryan appears more dedicated to having a hand in the defensive side of the ball for this upcoming season.

The outspoken head coach has said repeatedly this offseason that he wants to be more hands-on with his team's defense following a very disappointing 2011 season. Revis wasn't shy to admit that his coach wasn't as involved in the inner-workings of the squad as he was in his first two seasons, when New York shocked the football world and reached back-to-back AFC Championships.

The four-time Pro Bowler added that Ryan was angry at himself for not being more in tune with the pulse of his team's locker room.

But according to Revis and Harris, who calls most of the defensive signals for Gang Green, that is expected to change this season as the Jets aim to get back to the playoffs.

Jets fans, do you still support Rex as much as ever? Offer your thoughts and comments in the section below...
