B&C Morning Show: Terry Collins Plays Role Of Protector & Brodeur Fans The Flames
After Terry Collins' pulled David Wright last night, in-order to protect his superstar from getting plunked - we had ourselves a story.
Even with the Devils and the Rangers preparing to play Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight at MSG, Boomer & Craig opened-up today's edition of the Morning Extravaganza talking positively about the Mets after their 8-0 setback and praising both Collins and Wright for the way they handled the drama, which began to unfold in the top of the 7th inning, when Mets reliever DJ Carrasco was ejected for hitting Brewers slugger Ryan Braun.
It wasn't all about the Mets though, as Devils goalie Martin Brodeur made some inflammatory remarks about wanting his teammates to aim for the Rangers heads & feet with the intentions of injuring the opponent, when they dive to the ice to block shots.
Boomer was surprised Brodeur's comments and said the Rangers players have every right to be pissed.
Not that this series needed any more juice, but it certainly got some. Tonight's Game 2 should be a good one...
