EAST ROCKAWAY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - A Nassau County police officer was driving on Waverly Avenue in East Rockaway early on Sunday morning when his car was hit head-on by another vehicle.

The officer wasn’t seriously hurt, but the two men in the car that hit him are under arrest and facing multiple charges.

Police said that 19-year-old Vincent Rossi of Lynbrook was drunk, had a fake Florida license and had two switchblades. He was also carrying a substantial amount of illegal drugs — including a green leafy substance thought to be marijuana and numerous capsules believed to be steroids — in the center console of his car, police confirmed.

Cops said that his 19-year-old passenger, Dhobrinshky Gracia of Lynbrook, had two fake Pennsylvania drivers licenses.  Both Rossi and Gracia have been charged with drug and weapon possession.
