Jets Wide Receiver Jeremy Kerley Doesn't Participate In OTA Drills With Hamstring Tightness

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (WFAN) - Jets wide receiver/return specialist Jeremy Kerley didn't participate in the team's OTA drills on Thursday because of hamstring tightness.

The 23-year-old told reporters that he doesn't believe it's a serious matter.

Kerley was in attendance while the team worked out on the field and missed the wide-receiver drills, but did manage to do some work on the side.

It's the first OTA that the 2011 fifth-round pick has missed, according to The Star-Ledger.

In his rookie NFL season, the five-f00t-nine, 192-pounder out of Texas Christian University caught 29 passes for 314 yards in 14 games. He caught his first and only touchdown pass against the New England Patriots on October 9, 2011.

Do you see Kerley having a bright future with the Jets, or will he be nothing more than a fifth or sixth option? Share your thoughts and comments in the section below...
