Arkansas To Host Syracuse In SEC-Big East Challenge

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (WFAN/AP) — Arkansas' men's basketball team will host Syracuse this fall in the SEC-Big East Challenge.

Arkansas university announced Friday that the game was set for November 30, with the time to be determined later.

The Razorbacks went 18-14 last season in Mike Anderson's first season as Arkansas head coach. Syracuse was 34-3 and advanced to the NCAA Regional Finals.

Jim Boeheim is entering his 36th season leading the Orange as head coach.

The only other time Arkansas and Syracuse played one another was during the 1995 NCAA Tournament. Arkansas beat the Orange, 96-94, in overtime of the second-round. The Razorbacks went on to win the national championship.

Arkansas is 1-1 in SEC-Big East Challenge games, losing to Connecticut last season and beating Seton Hall the year before.
