Boomer Esiason and Craig Carton took a break from all of the baseball talk for a bit Tuesday morning and engaged in a spirited discussion regarding the NFL possibly using replacement refs this upcoming season, as the league still hasn’t reached a deal with the with the Referees Association.
To Craig, the whole mess is actually a positive, and it will be a chance for the crop of NFL officials to get younger — something he said the game desperately needs.
Boomer allowed Craig to go on, as his radio partner diminished the referees’ importance, but eventually the Blonde Bomber was forced to flex his muscles and remind Craig that the job isn’t as easy as it looks.
