Before getting to Jerry Recco’s first update of the morning, Craig thought it was important to share a few things he learned about David Diehl’s DWI charge, specifically how much alcohol the Giants offensive lineman would have had to consume in order to produce his reported .18 blood-alcohol level.

Keep in mind that Diehl weighs upward of 300 lbs.

Jerry doesn’t quite weigh 300 big ones (yet) but he was on hand to deliver an update. So he went ahead and did just, beginning with the Yankees – the first-place Yankees – after last night’s 3-0 win over the Braves.  At 35-25 the Bombers are actually tied with the Rays for the top spot in the AL East.  CC Sabathia gets the start tonight while the Rays will host the Mets – who were idle last night.

The LA Kings beat the Devils in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final and with that, the painfully long NHL season has finally come to a conclusion.  For the Kings, it was their first Cup since the team’s inception way back in 1967.

Plus, the NBA Finals will get underway tonight in Oklahoma City, when the Thunder welcome the Heat in a meteorologist’s dream matchup (Thunder in 6)…
