B&C Morning Show: Yankees Are Just Being The Yankees
The Yankees beat the Braves 3-0 last night in Atlanta -- the Bombers fourth win in a row -- and are now tied atop the AL East with the Rays. According to Craig, this is merely an indication that all things are right in the world.
Craig - who is a Mets fan by the way - has a rather odd way of showing his allegiance to his favorite team, but nonetheless he opened up today's edition of the Morning Extravaganza by praising 'his' Bronx Bombers and before even saying good morning to Boomer, Craig declared WFAN to be 'baseball central' -- and so the show began.
Boomer of course was doing a lot of channel surfing last night, keeping tabs on the Yankees game, as well as Game 6 of the NHL Finals (which saw the Kings defeat the Devils 6-1 to capture their first-ever Stanley Cup). Booms came away from the Yankees-Braves game with a great appreciation for the Yanks defense - an area that has been a source of concern for his beloved Mets. Craig was just thrilled that the painfully long NHL season finally concluded.
Speaking of the Mets, they will take on the aforementioned first-place Rays down in Tampa with hopes of getting out of the current funk they find themselves in.
In addition to the baseball talk, the guys discussed some more fallout from David Diehl's DWI charge and what could happen moving forward, before Boomer fondly reflected on beating Phil Simms and the Giants back in 1985...
